Lee Angol’s late penalty earned a Wanderers XI a 2-2 draw against their Fulham counterparts in a friendly at the Premier League side’s training ground.
Team: Matt Ingram, Marvin McCoy, Georges Ehui, Trialist, Kortney Hause, Trialist, Jesse Kewley-Graham (Max Kretzschmar 50), Matt Spring, Junior Morias (Lee Angol 50), Jo Kuffour (Emmanuel Ighorae 50), Dennis Oli (Olly Taylor 50).
“They showed good attitude and commitment which seems to be spreading through the club.”
“The lads did really well against a strong Fulham side including a couple of first-team players,” said Gareth Ainsworth, who led the team at Motspur Park.
Spring, unavailable for first-team selection due to a suspension, curled in a superb 20-yard free-kick to set the tone for a strong Wycombe performance.
This came after the Cottagers had found the net in each half to take the lead after Matt Spring’s opener on 15 minutes.
The 18-year-old summer recruit from Tottenham Hotspur picked himself up after being fouled in the area to score from the spot with 10 minutes remaining.
