New signings Adam Thompson and Matt Parsons say they had no hesitation in joining Wycombe.
The duo agreed one-month youth loans yesterday and are in contention for tomorrow’s (Saturday) trip to Southend United.
Versatile defender Thompson, 19, is highly thought of at parent club Watford and has been capped twice at senior level by Northern Ireland.
"I played against Wycombe last year and I know what they’re about,” he told Chairboys Player. "They’re a good team who like to play it on the floor, which is what I like to do.
"I heard about Wycombe’s interest on Tuesday night so it’s happened pretty quickly. They came to watch me play for Watford the other night and it’s just rolled since then.
"I was really impressed (with Wycombe’s performance against Watford) and that was a factor as well."
Parsons, 20, who is comfortable anywhere down the left, says the chance to join Wycombe was too good an opportunity to turn down.
"As soon as Dougie (Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman) said Wycombe were interested in me then I jumped at it,” he told Chairboys Player.
"I want to come down, play some games, show what I can do and hopefully do well for the club.
"I used to be a left-winger. I like to get forward and I can definitely do a shift at left-wing. I really enjoy getting forward, getting crosses in and setting up goals.
"I’ve played against Gareth Ainsworth before and he’s very strong, and I know Matt McClure as we played together at Palace when we were 15/16."
