First Time Fans Guide
Away Fans Guide

Adams Park is set for its highest attendance since March, and possibly the largest turnout of Wanderers supporters since the promotion celebrations against Stevenage in May 2018 as Gareth Ainsworth's men go in search of another impressive performance and result to continue their unbeaten streak on home turf.

One of the likely promotion front-runners come to town with Portsmouth hoping to build momentum from their comeback on Tuesday, recovering from two goals down against Burton to rescue a point, and begin climbing the table with three games in hand leaving them playing catch-up due to a disrupted fixture schedule so far.

They were victorious on their last visit to Adams Park in April, but Wycombe's eye-catching displays in the final two home games of last season and the first five of this campaign leave them flying high in League 1 and full of confidence, despite falling just short of their recent high standards in Tuesday's draw with Accrington.

Being the closest home game to the club's birthday on Tuesday, it's Fan Appreciation Day at Adams Park with long-distance, long-serving and also first-time young supporters being recognised for their commitment to the Wanderers, with plenty of activity throughout the day.

Team News.jpg

Wycombe will make a late call on the fitness of Rolando Aarons after the forward missed the last two games through injury, while Paul Smyth and Alex Samuel are sidelined. Darius Charles and Joe Jacobson could be recalled after sitting out Tuesday's 1-1 draw.

Portsmouth have no fresh injury worries but are not expecting to have winger Marcus Harness or left-back Lee Brown available in time following their rehabiliation on knocks.

Ticket News.jpg

Chairboys fans can by online at any time and save £2 through the new TicketCo platform, either on the website at tickets.wwfc.com or the TicketCo Wallet app.

Fans are encouraged to use the online platform rather than queuing to buy a ticket from Ticket Office 1 or 2. Buying online saves you time and money, which can be better spent in the shop, bar or stadium bowl.

Please also note that there will be no cash turnstile facility in the home areas; all fans are required to present a ticket (either the QR code on a smartphone/printout, or a physical ticket).

Supporters are advised to download their QR code to their smartphone wallet, or screenshot it to the camera roll, to prevent any issues using internet data to retrieve the code from emails whilst entering at the turnstile.

Click here for the full ticket details, including prices.

Tickets for the upcoming away game at Rochdale can be purchased from Ticket Office 1 before and after the game.

Tickets will not be available on the day for Portsmouth fans.

Report: Wycombe 1-0 Portsmouth

Akinfenwa's late penalty secures all three points in front of bumper crowd.

21 September 2019

Adebayo Akinfenwa converted a late penalty to continue Wanderers' fantastic start to the season, overcoming Portsmouth by one goal to nil at Adams Park.

After a quiet opening period, the game sprang to life when both Nnamdi Ofoborh and Pompey's Ellis Harrison were shown red cards in the second half, and it was Wanderers who came out on top following a handball in the box which culminated in Akinfenwa's successfully taken penalty.

Gareth Ainsworth recalled Joe Jacobson and Darius Charles into the defence, while Scott Kashket, Adebayo Akinfenwa and Fred Onyedinma were the preferred frontline with Matt Bloomfield, Nick Freeman and Dominic Gape manning the fort behind.

Ellis Harrison flashed an early chance wide before collecting his first yellow card for a foul on Akinfenwa, before Matt Bloomfield was withdrawn with a head injury as Nnamdi Ofoborh took his place.

Ronan Curtis then forced the first save of the game from Ryan Allsop after twisting his way into the box, but there was little to shout about before half-time, with Joe Jacobson also being withdrawn with a groin problem ahead of the interval as Jamie Mascoll took his place.

The game then burst into action 10 minutes into the second half when Ofoborh was shown a straight red card for a late tackle, but Akinfenwa, Christian Burgess and Harrison were all shown a yellow card for their part in the ensuing confrontation, with Harrison also receiving his marching orders following his earlier indiscretion.

With two fewer players on the pitch, the game became more open and a fast and furious passage of play ensued, with Allsop making a fine save to deflect a way a free-kick before Scott Kashket was denied by an excellent stop from Craig MacGillivray.

Alex Pattison replaced Fred Onyedinma, who had earlier picked up a knock, and the breakthrough came after MacGillivray had tipped away Mascoll's free-kick, but from the resulting corner, a Pompey defender's raised hand struck the ball and referee Seb Stockbridge pointed to the spot before Akinfenwa dispatched the spot-kick.

Brett Pitman hit the bar before seven cagey minutes of stoppage time came and went before Wanderers could celebrate a fifth home win in six matches in style.

Tickets on sale: Portsmouth (H, 21/09)

It's Fan Appreciation Day at Adams Park!

9 September 2019

Sponsored by

Tickets are now on sale for the Chairboys' League 1 meeting with Portsmouth at Adams Park on Saturday 21st September (k.o. 3pm).

Match Sponsor: Printkick

It's the closest home match to the club's birthday - the anniversary of its first ever fixture on 24th September 1887 - and to celebrate, this fixture will be a Fan Appreciation Day at Adams Park.

This will include (with full details to follow):

- Retro Shirt Day: wear the oldest Wycombe shirt that you own!
- First Time Fan Recognition: junior fans (under 18) can register their details if it's their first ever visit, to receive a certificate pitchside ahead of kick-off
- Long-Serving and Long-Distance Fan Recognition: any fans whose support of the club spans several decades, or who have travelled significant distance to get to the game, will be recognised on the day

At this stage, a decision is still pending as to whether or not to increase the allocation of tickets for Portsmouth fans, who have bought the full batch of 1,800 tickets in the Lords Builders Merchants Stand plus an additional 263 seats in blocks H&V of the Beechdean Stand. With that in mind, ticket sales in the remainder of the Beechdean Stand have been put on hold until this decision is reached.

Fans will receive a £2 discount when they buy online or on the TicketCo Wallet app; buying this way can be achieved in just a few simple steps, resulting in a QR code being sent to your phone via email or text message which can be scanned at the turnstile to gain access to the stadium.

This means that buying online or via the app is likely to be quicker than queuing to make a purchase at the ticket office on matchdays, and comes with a £2 saving, so you can make a snap decision to attend the game and buy your ticket on the walk into the stadium.

Ticket prices can be found below, and head to tickets.wwfc.com to secure your seat.
