Paul Smyth made his return from injury in a 2-1 victory at MK Dons in Wanderers' final match of the Leasing.com Trophy group stage.
The QPR loanee entered the field at half-time at Stadium MK, and caught the eye with an explosive attacking display as Wanderers cancelled out Brennan Dickenson's expert free-kick with a stunning powerful drive from Bournemouth loanee Nnamdi Ofoborh.
Alex Samuel crashed an effort against the underside of the bar, Smyth was denied by Stuart Moore as he raced through one-on-one and Alex Pattison bent a chance narrowly over as Wycombe finished the game strongly.
Cameron Yates was then called upon to make two fine saves as the clock ticked towards 90, before Kieran Agard and Giles Phillips were both shown red cards for an incident in the Wycombe box.
With the game looking destined for a penalty shootout, Josh Parker thrashed home from 12 yards to secure the £10,000 prize money for the Chairboys and a winning end to their Trophy campaign.
