Report: Wealdstone 0-1 Wycombe

Kashket wins it at Grosvenor Vale.

23 July 2019

An early strike from Scott Kashket secured a 1-0 victory at Wealdstone to continue Wanderers' unbeaten pre-season campaign so far.

The striker buried Nick Freeman's incisive pass and the Blues had chances to stretch their lead in the second period, most notably when Jason McCarthy saw a late penalty and follow-up saved by the Stones keeper.

Craig Mackail-Smith also saw a shot bounce back off the post before Matt Bloomfield's effort from the rebound was cleared off the line.

The match saw Joe Jacobson make his first appearance of pre-season, while Jamie Mascoll also featured shortly after signing a one-year deal with the club.

Wycombe: Trialist-GK, Grimmer (McCarthy 75), Jacobson (Mascoll 45), El-Abd (Trialist-CB 45), Charles (Phillips 45), Pattison (Gape 70), Gardiner-Smith, Trialist-CF (Bloomfield 45), Freeman, Mackail-Smith (Samuel 75), Kashket (Smyth 60).
