Wycombe Wanderers vs Milton Keynes Dons
Saturday 17th August 2019, k.o. 3pm
Adams Park
Referee: Trevor Kettle
Match Sponsor: TicketCo

First Time Fans Guide
Away Fans Guide

It's a first meeting of Wycombe and MK since 2012, with Paul Tisdale's men achieving promotion from League 2 last term and enjoying a winning start in the league against Shrewsbury last weekend.

They followed it up with a penalty shootout triumph over AFC Wimbledon in midweek, while Wanderers were on the wrong end of their own shootout, bowing out of the Carabao Cup to Championship club Reading.

Gareth Ainsworth's men will take plenty of positives from their display against the Royals and their two opening league games - the win over Bolton and draw at Bristol Rovers.

Ainsworth and Tisdale were regular opponents as two of the longest-serving managers at EFL clubs during Tisdale's time at Exeter, and go head-to-head for the 13th occasion in the dugout.

Sido Jombati and Curtis Thompson are unlikely to be involved as they continue rehabilitation on their respective injuries, but Gareth Ainsworth has no fresh injury worries ahead of the game. Darius Charles is available for selection after signing a short-term deal, and David Wheeler could face the side for whom he scored a promotion-clinching goal last season.

Joe Mason and Brennan Dickenson were both absent for the Dons' midweek cup win, and Jordan Moore-Taylor remains out with a knee injury. Russell Martin returns to Adams Park for the first time in nine years, having starred for the Chairboys from 2004-2008.

Ticket News.jpg

Chairboys fans can by online at any time and save £2 through the new TicketCo platform, either on the website at tickets.wwfc.com or the TicketCo Wallet app.

Fans are encouraged to use the online platform rather than queuing to buy a ticket from Ticket Office 1 or 2. Buying online saves you time and money, which can be better spent in the shop, bar or stadium bowl.

Please also note that there will be no cash turnstile facility in the home areas; all fans are required to present a ticket (either the QR code on a smartphone/printout, or a physical ticket).

Click here for the full ticket details, including prices.

Tickets for the upcoming away games at Fleetwood Town and AFC Wimbledon can be purchased from Ticket Office 1 AFTER the match, but not before, to alleviate queues.

Tickets will be available on the day for MK Dons fans.

Match Reports

Report: Wycombe 3-2 MK Dons

Wheeler wins it in stoppage time.

17 August 2019

David Wheeler scored a 90th minute winner against his former club to secure all three points for the Chairboys in a five-goal thriller with Milton Keynes Dons at Adams Park.

Joe Jacobson opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Jordan Houghton tripped Paul Smyth in the box, but Jordan Bowery levelled matters soon after, sweeping home from six yards.

Fred Onyedinma restored Wanderers' advantage at the end of a fine breakaway goal, started by Dominic Gape before Alex Samuel fed the ball into his fellow striker's path.

MK missed a penalty in first-half stoppage time when Conor McGrandles ballooned over after a foul on Dean Lewington by Giles Phillips, but Houghton was successful from the spot in the second period, making it 2-2 following a push by Joe Jacobson on Kieran Agard.

Gareth Ainsworth introduced Nick Freeman, Adebayo Akinfenwa and David Wheeler from the bench in a bid to win the game, and after Akinfenwa missed a golden chance to make it 3-2, Freeman and Wheeler combined for the winning goal, with the latter controlling an inch-perfect cross before drilling past Lee Nicholls.

Tickets on sale: MK Dons (H, 17/08)

Secure your seat at Adams Park.

26 July 2019

Tickets are now on sale for the Chairboys' League 1 meeting with MK Dons at Adams Park on Saturday 17th August (k.o. 3pm).

It's a first encounter between the two clubs since 2012 following MK's promotion from League 2 last season.

A revised pricing structure for the 2019/20 season means fans will receive a £2 discount when they buy online or on the TicketCo Wallet app, following the launch of an innovative new partnership with cloud-based technology providers TicketCo. This will take the place of the previous £2 discount for purchases made in advance of the fixture.

Buying through the TicketCo website or app can be achieved in just a few simple steps, resulting in a QR code being sent to your phone via email or text message which can be scanned at the turnstile to gain access to the stadium.

This means that buying online or via the app is likely to be quicker than queuing to make a purchase at the ticket office on matchdays, and comes with a £2 saving, so you can make a snap decision to attend the game and buy your ticket on the walk into the stadium.

With the online discount being unavailable to away supporters, Wanderers have taken the decision to apply a £2 discount to all tickets for away fans, which can be redeemed for advance and on-the-day sales.

Ticket prices can be found below, and head to tickets.wwfc.com to secure your seat.
