Popular midfielder known for his ability to score from long range, having hit memorable strikes on his 1st and 100th appearances for the club.

Wood began his career at non-league Cray Wanderers back in 2002 and he moved on to Bromley higher up the non-league pyramid, where he played predominantly as a left winger before earning a move to the Football League with Brentford.

He moved to Wycombe in 2012, and on his league debut against York, he scored a 35-yard volley which was later named as Wycombe’s goal of the season. Wood was offered a new two year deal at Adams Park in the summer of 2014 after playing mainly at left back last season, and has featured in midfield and sometimes in attack so far this season.

Wood marked his 100th appearance with a 40-yard wonder-goal at Morecambe in October 2014 and scored six times in total that season.

He followed it up with two goals in the 2015/16 campaign and had his contract extended by an extra year in the summer.
