David Wates reports on the latest youth team outings.
WWFC 1-3 Brentford
Wycombe welcomed Brentford to Bisham Abbey for their first game back after a long mid-season break. The visitors took the lead from a Rory Delap style long throw that found its way to the far post where a Brentford player pounced.
Matt McClure scored within 10 seconds of the restart after Dean Wallace had clipped the ball to Jerome Federico from kick-off who ran down the wing and crossed for McClure to poke past the stranded keeper.
Two minutes before half-time Brentford took the lead once again when some tricky play down the right-hand side led their player into a dangerous position inside the penalty area and he shot low and hard inside the near post. Brentford added a third late on to seal the win.

Brentford 0-1 WWFC
The following Saturday and a rescheduled fixture offered the Blues an opportunity to avenge the previous weekend's loss.
Featuring two new faces in defence, centre-back Simon Cox and right full-back Miles Smith, the team produced a much more composed and disciplined performance.
Cox scored on his debut from a Dean Wallace corner, heading the winner in at the far post.
WWFC: M. Ingram, T. O'Regan, S. Cox, L. Saku, M. Smith, J. Scowen, D. Wallace, S. Belcher, J. Federico (N. Olukanmi), P. Palladino (R. Ware), M. McClure (L. Weemes). Subs not used: C. Clark.
Leyton Orient 0- 1 WWFC
On a very cold and grey morning the youth team faced the side that knocked them out of last year's FA Youth Cup. On a compact and bumpy pitch it was never going to be a pretty game and set pieces would dominate the events of the game.
The majority of the first half was contested in the middle of the park with limited chances at either end. Kadeem Harris (pictured right) eventually made the breakthrough after Tom O'Regan clipped a ball into the path of Jerome Federico who cut inside and played in Kadeem whose powerful shot crept in at the near post.
WWFC: M. Ingram, T. O'Regan, S. Cox, A. Stewart, M. Smith, J. Scowen, J. Graham, S. Belcher, J. Federico, P. Palladino (R. Loftus-Desport), K. Harris. Subs not used: C. Clark, S. Grayley, L. Weemes, N. Olukanmi.
WWFC 1-1 Peterborough (Peterborough win 5-4 on penalties)
Having already beaten QPR, Millwall, Southend and Northampton en route to the quarter-final, Wycombe were confident they could progress to the next stage of the competition.
Unfortunately, after a highly competitive 90 minutes the Blues went out on the lottery that is a penalty shoot-out.
WWFC: M. Ingram, T. O'Regan, S. GRayley, A. Stewart, M. Smith (C. Clark), J. Scowen, J. Graham (A. Trialist), S. Belcher, J. Federico, R. Loftus-Desport (P. Palladino), K. Harris. Subs not used: D. Styles, A. Lloyd.
