REPORT: BLUES BEATEN BY HATTERS

Posted on: Thu 08 Apr 2010
Wanderers' reserve side were beaten 4-0 by Luton Town at Barton Rovers FC on Tuesday evening.

A brace from Mark Nwokeji and a goal a piece from Matthew Barnes-Homer and Asa Hall sealed the Hatters' victory over a very young Blues outfit.

Despite the defeat, Richard Dobson's men are only one point behind second placed Watford and three behind current league leaders Ipswich Town, who beat Colchester 3-1.

'Dobbo' told wwfc.com: "The younger players don't usually play against players of that quality and experience, but it was a good opportunity for them to understand the level they have to reach as a professional.

"In terms of game understanding and experience, it will be a good learning curve for them."

Wanderers: Ingram; Smith, Clark, Cox, Lampe (Saku 45), Scowen (Weemes 70), Kewley-Graham (McClure 60), Wallace, Federico, Harris, Fitchett.

Subs not used: Brennan, Ware.
