REPORT: FIVE STAR BLUES BEAT BORO

Wanderers' second string maintained their title push with a convincing 5-1 win over Stevenage Borough at Maidenhead FC on Wednesday evening.

Stuart Green opened the scoring on seven minutes before Kevin McLeod (pictured right) grabbed a brace to put the hosts 3-0 up at half-time.

Dan Fitchett and Matt Phillips added Wycombe's fourth and fifth goals before Stevenage scored a consolation goal with just over 15 minutes remaining.

The victory moves Richard Dobson's men to within one point of leaders Watford.

Wycombe: Shearer; Hunt, Cox, Stewart, Spence; Phillips (Harris 80), Bloomfield, Green (Scowen 78), McLeod (Federico 73); Pittman, Fitchett. 

Subs not used: Ingram, Belcher.
