RESERVES SWITCH HOME TO MAIDENHEAD

Posted on: Sat 03 Oct 2009
Wanderers, the oldest professional football club in Buckinghamshire, are spreading their wings into Berkshire by switching reserve team fixtures to Maidenhead United's York Road ground.

All Totesport Combination games for the remainder of the season will be played at the town centre ground, which is recognised as the oldest venue in the world where football has always been played. For the past 12 months, second string fixtures have been staged at Marlow F.C, who proved to be first class hosts.

Said club secretary Keith Allen: "We'd like to thank Marlow for making players, officials and supporters so welcome. The directors and management want to place on record their thanks for Marlow's hospitality. We'd like to wish them good luck for the rest of the season in the Zamaretto League Midland Division."

The first Blues fixture at York Road, Maidenhead, will be against Peterborough United on Tuesday, October 6th, kick-off 7.00pm.

All season ticket and blues card holders will gain free admission, while adult tickets will cost £3 and concessions £1.
