Junior Lewis' reserve side picked up yet another win in the Totesport Combination, as goals from Nathan Ashton and Jordan Lumsden gave them a 2-0 win over Leyton Orient.

It was an at times scrappy affair at Oak Tree Road, with chances extremely limited in the first period. In fact the Chairboys took the lead with the first real chance of the game, as Nathan Ashton knocked the ball home after great work down the right from David Pearce just before the break.

The Blues doubled their lead early in the second period, as George Daly's header from point blank range was blocked by Glenn Morris - only for Jordan Lumsden to nod home the rebound.

Orient were largely restricted to efforts from long range as a hard working Chairboys outfit closed the game out, with Leon Crooks the oldest player on show in a very youthful XI.

Wycombe now have just one game remaining in the Eastern Division, as they travel to rivals Colchester on April 29th.

TEAM NEWS

Subs: Ingram, Graley, Saku, Lewis, McClure

Leyton Orient: Morris, Ashworth, Gray, Sahh, Thelwell, Baker, Hall, Beautyman, Argent, Pires

Subs: Giddens, Crowther, Millwood, Manneh

89 mins: Four minutes of time added on at the end of the half.

86 mins: Sam Grayley nods Nathan Ashton's free-kick towards goal but it's just headed away and out for a corner. Somehow the referee gives a goalkick.

83 mins: George Daly's ballwork and technique has been faultless tonight, but he's been let down by his final product at times. He speeds past two players in the centre of the park before lashing a long range effort wide.

81 mins: A moment of danger there. Sam Grayley has to lunge ahead of the O's striker to concede a corner, which is just headed over the bar as James Reading is left stranded.

78 mins: These boys won't stop working. Dan Fitchett charges down the Orient goalkeeper, panicking him into a sliced clearance for a corner.

74 mins: Striker Matt McClure could well be coming on for a cameo. He has recently received a call up to the Northern Ireland U19 squad, so has plenty of potential.

71 mins: Orient really haven't reated much in this half. George Daly showed more great skill to jink down the touchline, spins on the ball by the corner flag and wins a free-kick for the Wanderers.

67 mins: Great play by Daly. He bombs down the left wing before cutting inside, his ball across the six yard box is a good one but somehow cut away from goal by Sahh.

64 mins: Another knock for the Wanderers, Sam Grayley takes a knock to the head and receives treatment.

62 mins: Should have done better there. George Daly runs all of 25 yards to the edge of the box, but with players spare on the left hand side decides to have a go himself and screws the ball wide.

58 mins: Craig Read is limping off with help from Shay Connolly, doesn't look likely to continue. A shame because the 17-year-old has been a rock at the back.

54 mins: Nathan Ashton cuts inside, but his shot from 30 yards is way over. However it does come rather close to pole-axing a gentleman on a bike, riding past the back of the stand. As you do.

52 mins: Wycombe are dominating proceedings now. Nathan Ashton flies down the left wing, but sends his shot straight into the arms of the keeper. At the other end Jake Argent sends the ball over the bar from 18 yards.

49 mins: Harry Baker slaloms through the Chairboys midfield, but sends his effort way over the bar and into the stand.

46 mins: GOAL! Perfect start for the Wanderers. George Daly saw his header blocked at point blank range by Morris, but Jordan Lumsden was on hand to nod home the second.

HALF TIME

43 mins: GOAL! Wycombe have taken the lead with the first real chance of the game. David Pearce made a great run down the right hand side before clipping the ball into the middle, where Nathan Ashton was in wait to tap home.

38 mins: Craig Read has had a good game for me. The youth team centre back has one most things in the air and nothing has got past him on the ground.

34 mins: That's only really the second shot on goal I can remember and yet again it was from outside the box. Argent's effort is easily gathered by Reading.

31 mins: A free kick in a dangerous position for the Chairboys, right on the edge of the box. Nathan Ashton sends it over the bar.

28 mins: James Reading does well to flick a dangerous corner away from under his crossbar.

26 mins: A game lacking in quality really, more of an honest midfield scrap.

23 mins: Almost a Paul Robinson v Croatia moment. Glenn Morris in the O's goal tries to clear a routine backpass but it bobbles over his foot and slides just wide of the post.

20 mins: The young Blues are looking energetic, hastling and harrowing the O's at every opportunity.

18 mins: Close to a penalty that. Nathan Ashton twists and turns his marker inside out on the edge of the box and as he nips inside is tripped. Looked in the area to me but the referee gives a free kick just on the edge. Lewis Ochoa sees his set piece well held by the keeper.

14 mins: Leon Crooks is of course back in the line-up after returning from his loan at Ebbsfleet United. On a different note, I've just spotted Martin Allen watching from the stands.

12 mins: Nice passage of play but no end result. Fitchett brings the ball down in the centre circle with a wonderful touch before spinning and releasing Nathan Ashton. The wingman cuts into the box before launching a chip to the back post, but Orient clear it away before Lumsden can get hold of the ball.

10 mins: A slow start to this one, the O's certainly don't look like they're going to roll over like Colchester did last week.

8 mins: First half effort from the visitors, as Bradley Gray hacks wide from distance.

6 mins: A quiet opening. Fitchett and Daly look lively but have not had much to work with so far. There's not much height in this Wycombe line up, so they'll be looking to keep the ball on the floor.

4 mins: Great saving challenge from Robbie Rice, the Wycombe captain clips the ball away from the Orient striker just as he was ready to unleash eight yards out.

3 mins: Early effort from Nathan Ashton as he jinks on to his right foot before sending a shot into the arms of O's keeper Glenn Morris.

1 mins: We're underway here, with 22-year-old Nathan Ashton the oldest player on show for the Blues. Next down is 20-year-old Robbie Rice. It's going to be a big test.
