Wanderers' reserve team came from 3-1 down to record an excellent 4-3 victory over Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Tuesday evening.
Goals from Jordan Lumsden, Magno Silva Vieira, Dan Fitchett and a penalty from Matt Harrold cancelled out former Wycombe loanee Dean Bowditch's first half hat-trick for the Tractor boys.
The Blues fell behind after only two minutes when Dean Bowditch headed past Jamie Young in the Wanderers goal, after he connected well from a cross from the Ipswich right.
The Tractor boys continued to press in the early stages but Magno Silva Vieira got the equaliser against the run of play around the 20 minute mark for Junior Lewis' side after firstly nipping in to take advantage of a defensive mix-up and then finishing well.
Bowditch then added his second of the game when he tapped in at the back post before completing his hat-trick five minutes before the end of the half when he turned well and drilled a shot into the bottom right corner.
However, a different Wanderers side came out after the break and they reduced the deficit within two minutes of the restart when Matt Harrold coolly slotted home a penalty after Vieira was hauled down inside the box.
The best goal of the night was next to come though when Jordan Lumsden finished off a move he had started in the Blues' midfield. Lumsden picked up the ball in the centre of the park before playing into the feet of Magno, the Brazilian then turned and fed the ball wide to Nathan Ashton and after continuing his run Jordan made it 3-3 when he met the former Fulham man's cross.
And the comeback was complete with fifteen minutes left on the clock when Dan Ficthett scored to make it 4-3 to the Wanderers. Only 10 seconds earlier had Dan and George Daly replaced Matt Harrold and Magno Vieira, and the winner did have a touch of luck connected to it after the striker's block from the Ipswich keeper's clearance rebounded into the net.
