Wycombe Wanderers' second-string held Stevenage to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night, though it could have been more as a first half strike from Rob Rice gave them the lead.
The 19-year-old utility man bundled the ball home after good work down the left from first year pro Calum Botham.
Despite a series of chances to double their lead the Wanderers had to settle for a point in the Pontin's Holiday Combination, when Jerome Anderson levelled things for the visitors with an unstoppable effort.
The Chairboys included 20-year-old trialist Stephen Maher in their midfield, whilst Derek Duncan took the field in an unfamiliar left back position.
Peter Taylor told wwfc.com: "I felt it was a good performance, Stevenage scored a very impressive goal but apart from that we put together some nice moves and had some great chances."
