RESERVES: WYCOMBE 3-0 GILLINGHAM

Posted on: Fri 08 Apr 2011
A brace from Jon-Paul Pittman and a late header from Anthony Stewart gave Wycombe a comfortable 3-0 victory over Gillingham in tonight's reserve team fixture at Burnham.

Pittman opened the scoring when he received a low cross from the outstanding Kadeem Harris and took one touch to lose his marker before rifling home with an effort on the turn.

Scott Donnelly and Matt McClure both missed chances to stretch the lead but Pittman made sure of the win when he tapped home after Stewart's initial effort was blocked three minutes from time.

And Stewart got the goal his performance deserved when he headed home from Harris' deep cross in stoppage time, sealing an emphatic and deserved win for the Blues.

Wycombe: Steve Arnold; Jamie McGuinness, Andy Sandell (Oliver Taylor HT), Alan Bennett, Anthony Stewart; Josh Scowen, Scott Donnelly (Miles Smith 60), Jess Kewley-Graham (Charles Dunne 23), Kadeem Harris; Matt McClure, Jon-Paul Pittman.

Subs: Matt Ingram, Lee Weemes.

Goals: Pittman (36, 87), Stewart (90)
