Prolific marksman Rendell finished his debut season as the club's top goalscorer, finding the net 19 times to help fire the Blues to promotion.
The former Reading youngster made a major impact during his time with Cambridge United, scoring 17 times in 29 games to earn his move into the Football League with Peterborough United.
First-team opportunities were hard to come by at London Road but a loan spell with Torquay alongside fellow Wanderer Elliot Benyon kickstarted his career, persuading Gary Waddock to splash out £125,000 to bring him to Adams Park.
