A one-time Ghana international, Will Antwi is a highly-rated central defender who joined the club in the summer of 2005 but has seen his Wanderers career regularly disrupted by injuries.
After starting his career as a trainee at Crystal Palace, Antwi enjoyed a brief spell playing in Sweden with Ljungskile before returning to England with Conference side Aldershot Town, where he became a regular in the 2004/2005 season.
John Gorman swooped to sign the powerful centre-back in July 2005 but Antwi suffered a groin injury just days after signing for the club which required extensive treatment, meaning his long awaited Wanderers debut didn't come until the away game at Macclesfield the following April.
He retained his place in the side until the end of the season and continued to blossom at the start of the following season alongside Mike Williamson and Sam Stockley in defence.
Another groin injury restricted him to just a handful of appearances at the start of 2007 but he did play in both legs of the Carling Cup semi final with Chelsea.
Like Williamson, he too signed a new deal until summer 2009, and returned to the Wanderers side in November 2007 before sustaining another injury in December. Antwi impressed for the reserves on his return and played in the Blues' penultimate fixture of the 2007/08 campaign against Notts County.
