An uncompromising centre back - who can also help out in midfield - Hinshelwood was Gary Waddock's first capture of this year's January transfer window, having already signed him for Aldershot back in the summer.

The 25-year-old was a product of Brighton's youth system and went on to spend seven seasons with the Seagulls; making over 40 Championship appearances during his time there, as well as earning a place in the England U21 squad for games againstWales and Azerbaijan in October 2004.

A ruptured ACL saw the man from Oxford spend some significant time on the sidelines between 2005 and 2008, but that didn't stop him from making the first team in between surgeries - passing the 100 appearance mark in all competitions for the South coast club - and becoming one of the youngest captains in Albion's history.

Having returned to full fitness during the second half of last season, Waddock jumped at the chance to bring the defender to Aldershot in July, immediately naming him the Shots' club captain, but the pair spent just 11 games together after Waddock's move here to Adams Park.

Yet less than three months on, the gaffer has once again lured Hinshelwood into a reunion - with a contract until the end of the season - and since joining the Chairboys he has started every game and held his own against some of the best in the league.
