The Game: Wycombe Wanderers v Brentford
The Date: Saturday 13th September, 3:00pm
The Place: Adams Park, High Wycombe
The Competition: Coca Cola League Two

Wycombe go into Saturday's derby clash with Brentford sitting pretty at the top of League Two, and looking to extended their unbeaten run in the division to six games.

Andy Scott's side will perhaps prove to be the toughest test yet for the Wanderers, as they sit just three points behind the Blues in sixth place.

The Bees have not lost since a 1-0 defeat to Bury on the opening day of the season, and ended the unbeaten run of Dagenham & Redbridge last weekend with a 2-1 victory at Griffin Park.

The Chairboys managed the elusive double over the Londoners last season, including a 1-0 victory at Adams Park this time last year.

Peter Taylor told wwfc.com earlier this week: "I'm pleased for everybody. The most important thing is we're working hard as a team, we've looked solid and the team working hard for each other is the reason why I think we've got the points we have.

"I'm delighted with the start, but there are only five games gone and an awfully long way to go."

Brentford boss Andy Scott told Westside Radio "We've done really well when you consider the start we had in the first week. We have made some obvious improvements and responded well to that, we still have lots of areas which we can improve on and we still have some players to come back but generally I am pleased with how things have gone.

Team News

Wycombe Wanderers: Tommy Doherty looks a doubt after limping off in the first half against Rochdale last week. Gary Holt will face a late fitness test whilst Lewis Hunt and Matt Bloomfield remain sidelined with long term injuries.

Brentford: Team news to follow...

The Deadly Duo

Strike pairing Nathan Elder and Charlie MacDonald will be the envy of many managers in League Two this year, and are both sure to pose a threat this Saturday at Adams Park.

Nathan Elder and his strike partner are sure to be a handful

The pair grabbed a goal-a-piece in the victory over the Daggers last week, and have managed five goals between them in League Two already this campaign. This weekend will surely be their toughest test - as the Wanderers back line has the best record in British football at present, having only conceded one league goal.

The Star Man

Glenn Poole built an awesome reputation in the 2007/08 campaign for being the scorer of spectacular goals, indeed his strike against the Wanderers on Boxing Day was named as 'Goal of the Season' by Bees fans.

Last season's top scorer at Griffin Park has picked up where he left off this time around with three goals in all competitions this year, and it surely won't be long until Brentford's number 11 attracts attention from clubs higher up the footballing pyramid.

The Man in the Middle

Mr R.J Beeby will take charge of the local derby, which is set to be his seventh game of the campaign so far. The man from Northamptonshire has brandished 11 yellow cards and one red in the 2008/09 season, and last took charge of the Wanderers for their 2-1 defeat to Peterborough at London Road last year.

On that occasion he showed five yellow cards, all to Wycombe players - namely Gary Holt, Russell Martin, Stefan Oakes, Reuben Reid and Sergio Torres.

The Assistant Referees will be Mr. A.A Lever and Mr T Mason.
