RICHARD DOBSON
Richard Dobson joined the Blues in July 2007 as the Head of the Centre of Excellence before taking up the position as Youth Team Coach following the departure of Greg Heald.
Born in Isleworth on 8th June 1976, Richard joined Brentford at the age of 11 as part of the club's YTS scheme. He left Griffin Park in 1992 and spent time at Reading before joining Farnborough Town the next year.
Unfortunately, Richard injured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right leg in 1994 when he was just 18 years old. Four years later, he suffered the same injury in his left leg and left Cherrywood Road in 1998 having made almost 20 appearances. He moved to Wealdstone but soon sustained yet more ligament damage and retired from playing in 2001 at the age of 25.
After hanging up his boots, he rejoined Brentford as Youth Co-Ordinator, where he was responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Centre of Excellence scheme.
During the six years he spent in the youth set-up he gained the UEFA A coaching badge and became a full-time coach, overseeing the whole Centre of Excellence scheme at the Bees.
Richard left Brentford in July 2007 joining Wycombe as the Head of the Centre of Excellence and stepped up to the role of Youth Team Coach in January when Greg Heald left the position.
