A Wycombe side consisting of a mixture of first-team squad members and young stars beat Uxbridge 6-3 in tonight's pre-season friendly, thanks to a second-half four-goal blitz from Matt McClure.
Sam Kamani put the home side in front on 18 minutes after capitalising on a poor backpass by Chris Westwood and slotting the ball past the stranded Steve Arnold.
But Wycombe were level nine minutes later when Dan Fitchett was fouled inside the area and Stuart Green dispatched the penalty with ease.
Ten minutes after the break, the visitors took the lead when youth team trialist Daniel Bailey finished smartly after Uxbridge had failed to clear a corner.
And they stretched the lead on 66 minutes when Matt McClure latched on to a fine through-ball from Sam Belcher and rounded the keeper impressively before tapping home.
The Northern Ireland Under-19 striker grabbed his second with a exquisite lob on 77 minutes to make it 4-1, but Uxbridge pulled one back moments later through Kevin Warner's fluke volley which looped into the top corner.
McClure completed his hat-trick on 84 minutes when Stuart Green picked him out with an inch-perfect crossfield pass and the striker cut in from the byline to dink home.
Darran Crane nodded home from close range to make it 5-3 but McClure scored his fourth following a through-ball from Ian Westlake as the clock neared full-time.
