BLUES TEAM UP WITH BEECHDEAN

Posted on: Sat 17 Jul 2010

Wycombe Wanderers are delighted to announce a new partnership with thriving local business Beechdean for next season.

The deal will see the High Wycombe based company's logo feature on the back of the club's home and change shirts in the 2010/11 campaign.

Beechdean, set up by Andrew & Susie Howard in 1989, are one of the UK's leading ice cream manufacturers, producing a staggering eight million litres a year. Based on the family farm just north of High Wycombe, Beechdean has been supplying the local areas for 21 years, and recently opened a shop on the farm which sells both delicious ice cream as well as other products.

They are also known for their involvement in motor racing, having created the Beechdean Motorsport team in 2006. They've competed in the British GT Championship and this year they teamed up with legendary driver Nigel Mansell to race at the iconic Le Mans and to challenge in the 2010 Le Mans Series.

Karen Murphy, head of sales & marketing at WWFC, said: "It's fantastic that such a successful local business has come on board. The partnership with Beechdean will allow both parties to strengthen their presence within the local community.

"Beechdean invested in the club last season as a box holder and it's great that they've now increased their commitment for this coming season."

Andrew Howard, owner of Beechdean, said: "It's our second year supporting Wycombe Wanderers and we are absolutely thrilled. Our partnership has been a real success and that's why we've increased our commitment to a club that we feel is going places.

"They are our local team and the structure of the club and the way they look after their fans is fantastic. It's obvious the supporters enjoy going to games, it's a very exciting time for the club and we are looking forward to being a part of it."

He added: "Our intention is to increase our involvement as the club grows on and off the field.
