Wycombe Wanderers are delighted to announce that the club's current longest-serving player Matt Bloomfield has agreed a new one-year contract.
The midfielder's current deal was set to expire in the summer, but 'Blooms' has committed himself for next season's promotion push.
Talking to
wwfc.com, Bloomfield said: "Everyone knows how much the club means to me and I'm delighted to be staying.
"I'm really looking forward to playing a part in achieving our goal of getting promoted back to League One next season."
Boss Gary Waddock said: "Matt is Wycombe through and through and I'm delighted he's decided to stay. His performances at the end of the season demonstrated what a quality player he is.
"I'm looking forward to working with him next season as we look to bounce back at the first attempt."
Bloomfield, 26, has made 213 appearances and enjoyed seven memorable years at Adams Park following his move from Ipswich Town in December 2003.
The Felixstowe born midfielder has been an integral part of the club's recent success, playing a major role in the historic run to the Carling Cup semi-final in 2006/07 and promotion to League One two seasons ago.
However, his best form for the Blues was arguably on display at the end of last season when he scored two goals in the final five games.
