Blues boss Gary Waddock paid tribute to his squad for their excellent performance in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Swindon and says the point still leaves them with a chance of winning their battle for League One survival.

Wanderers made a mockery of the 18 places separating the two sides with a confident display at Adams Park, and despite being pegged back twice by Danny Wilson's Robins, Waddock had nothing but praise for his side after the game:
"They were absolutely brilliant today and you couldn't have asked for much more," he said. "We wanted to win the game but unfortunately it wasn't to be. They've been outstanding in recent weeks and it just shows you what this group of players can achieve.
"Over the course of the season we haven't been consistent enough but the performances in the last few weeks have put us in a position where we can still get out of it.
"We've just played against a very good side and for long spells we matched them. We had chances at the end and it could have been a different story, but the players gave everything again.
"I can't take anything away from those players because they were excellent again today. They're disappointed that we haven't won the game but we have to remember that we've gone toe-to-toe with a very good side," he added.
Draws for Tranmere and Exeter, along with a defeat for Gillingham, means the 'great escape' is still alive if the Blues can achieve maximum points from the final two games of the season, and Waddock hopes his side can continue their excellent recent run into next week's trip to Leyton Orient:
"We have to win the game and then see what happens - it's as simple as that," he said. "If we can go into the last game of the season and still have a chance, we'll be delighted.
"The whole mentality of the players has changed now. You don't lie down and die, you go out and give your all for every single second of the game. Whatever profession you're in, you have to work hard for it - you might get a knockback but you take it on the chin and go again.
"All of us have got to deal with worry and nerves because of the situation we're in, but we have to remain calm and be composed. We did that against Swindon and now we have to go to Orient and do the same.
"The crowd were extremely good again today and we need them to be right behind us. Keep believing in us, because we're still in with a chance."
