Wycombe Wanderers have offered professional contracts to three second year scholars, wwfc.com are delighted to reveal.
Winger Jerome Federico, central midfielder Sam Belcher and Northern Ireland Under-19 striker Matt McClure (all pictured below) will put pen to paper on their deals in the summer.
"I'm delighted for all three of them," said head of youth Richard Dobson. "They have had to earn the professional deals they have been awarded.
"Consistent performances in the youth team followed by decent displays at reserve team level have earned them their first opportunity as a professional footballer.
"They realise this is the first step and they've got a lot of hard work ahead of them to push for the first team and have a long career in professional football."
Manager Gary Waddock added: "I'm delighted for the three lads and hopefully this is just the start of a long and successful career for each of them."
Richard Dobson also paid tribute to those youngsters who have not been retained:
"Unfortunately some of the second year scholars have been released, which is part and parcel of the sport we are in.
"They have been a credit to the club during their apprenticeships and I'm delighted other clubs have expressed an interest following loan spells earlier in the season.
"I wish them the best of luck for the future."
Next year's group of youngsters looking to earn professional deals include Josh Scowen, Lee Weemes and Kadeem Harris, who became the club's youngest ever player to play in the Football League against Yeovil Town on Boxing Day, aged 16 and 201 days.
