HINSH TO SEE SPECIALIST

Posted on: Tue 13 Apr 2010
Gary Waddock has revealed that captain Adam Hinshelwood will see a specialist on Monday evening to determine the extent of his knee injury.

'Hinsh' limped off after only 18 minutes of Saturday's 2-0 home win over Hartlepool and is definitely out of Tuesday's trip to Tranmere.

The Blues boss told wwfc.com: "A specialist is going to have a look at him this evening and we'll know the outcome after that.

"He had to come off on Saturday and we'll wait and see what the specialist says."

Gareth Ainsworth was handed the armband after the centre-back was replaced and Waddock has confirmed the experienced midfielder will retain the captaincy for the game at Prenton Park:

"It doesn't matter if Gaz is captain or not. You know what you are going to get from him and will an armband make any difference to him? No, it won't.

"He will wear the armband. I've not spoken to him about it but it was quite obvious on Saturday that he was the clear choice, and he is the obvious choice again."
