Blues boss Gary Waddock rued his side's lack of conviction in front of goal after seeing the Wanderers slip to a 2-1 defeat at home to Huddersfield on Saturday.
Jordan Rhodes and Theo Robinson showed their own predatory instincts to fire the Terriers into a two-goal lead at Adams Park, and although Dean Keates headed home a consolation, Waddock felt his team were not ruthless enough in the final third:
"We can't fault the work rate and commitment but we didn't work their keeper nearly enough," he said. "The difference was in both boxes, and we didn't create enough to put their back four and keeper under pressure.
"Both the goals we conceded were poor from our side, and against a good Huddersfield team, you can't give away opportunities like that - you just make it difficult for yourself."
There was little between the two clubs in terms of general play but Waddock said his only concern is results, not performances, as they continue their battle to stay in League One:
"The scoreline is what matters and we don't like coming away from games with a loss or a draw. We want to be winners - I don't like this feeling, the players don't like it and the fans don't like it."
