JP HITS THE DANCEFLOOR

Posted on: Thu 01 Apr 2010
Jon-Paul Pittman is set for an appearance on a World Cup version of 'Strictly Come Dancing' after news of his extravagant goal celebrations were passed to the BBC by Chairboys Player commentator Bill Turnbull.

'Ballroom Bill' won the hearts of the nation following his spell on the show in 2005, and contacted the show's producers to recommend the striker after being impressed with his fancy footwork.

Pittman will represent his homeland America at the competition, while Cameroon's Roger Milla, Brazil's Romario and Spain's Julio Iglesias will also be taking part.

The show is set to be aired over the summer, with the panel of judges consisting of pundits from the Match Of The Day team.
