Gareth Ainsworth has called on his Wanderers team-mates to "give their all" in the remaining 11 games of the season.
The 36-year-old, who is in line to make his return to first team action at Oldham on Saturday after serving a three-match suspension, reckons a fearless approach must be adopted if the Blues are to survive.
Gaz's full interview"The attitude we must have now is to go out there and give it our best shot," Ainsworth told
Chairboys Player.
"We never want to look back and say 'we wish we'd done this, we wish we'd done that'. We can't now, we've got to go out there and give it our all.
"Fans, staff, players and everyone at Wycombe need to give everything they can for this survival fight."
Wanderers are seven points off safety going into the weekend clash at Boundary Park but Ainsworth believes a couple of good results could see the complexion at the bottom change.
He said: "Games are becoming crucial now. The results have gone against us in the last few days but if we can get back in the mix then it brings a few more teams into the equation.
"People are saying it could be four from six but if we can get a couple of wins then it could be four from eight. It's a crazy league and hopefully we can make it a really close end to the season.
"I still think it could come down to the last two games, so we need to keep in the mix and get results."
Oldham received a boost in their own bid for survival with a 2-0 victory over Leyton Orient on Tuesday, and although Ainsworth is aware of the threat the Latics pose, he believes the Blues can stamp their authority on the game to claim the victory:
"They've had a good win in midweek so it's a real challenge for us to go up there and impose ourselves on the game, but we can.
"It would be nice to get an early goal and build on it. Getting the three points is the priority this weekend."
