Wanderers make the short journey to Griffin Park on Saturday looking for their second double of the campaign, and more importantly, a return to form after the setback of last week's defeat to Yeovil Town.
Gary Waddock pulled no punches after the dismal display against the Glovers and has demanded an immediate response against Brentford - a side who will be going into the game full of confidence after their 4-0 demolition of Gillingham last weekend.
However, the Blues have already defeated the Bees once this season, with Matt Harrold's penalty earning a 1-0 win at Adams Park in November, and will be hopeful of producing another fine away performance after the recent impressive results at Leeds United and Bristol Rovers.
Harrold and John Mousinho will come head-to-head with their former employers in West London whilst there will also be a familiar name in the Bees' starting line-up, as John Akinde prepares to face the side for whom he scored eight times in two loan spells before switching to Andy Scott's men.
Another former Wycombe loanee, Lionel Ainsworth, should also be in the Bees squad for the game along with striker Carl Cort, who spent time on trial with the Blues last summer.
Last year's League Two champions have lost just twice on home turf this season and currently lie in 11th position in League One, having lost just one of their last eight league outings, and will be hoping to go one better than the draw they collected at Griffin Park against the Wanderers last season.
Jordan Rhodes gave the Bees the lead before John Akinde, David Hunt and John Mousinho traded goals to make it 2-2 at the break, before a stunning solo goal from Akinde edged the visitors ahead.
However, Tommy Doherty's sending off for a reckless elbow swung the momentum back in Brentford's favour and Sam Williams earned a point with nine minutes remaining.
Opposition View
"They (Wycombe) had fantastic result at Bristol Rovers two weeks ago and then they had a poor result against Yeovil - they're chalk and cheese really. You don't know what you're going to get at the moment but clearly they're in a big fight to get out of the bottom four.
"The games against them are fiercely contested battles and form doesn't play much part in the results. We've got to make up for our disappointment of going there and losing 1-0 to a debatable penalty, but we didn't play well on the day."
- Andy Scott, speaking to Westside Radio.
Team News
Wycombe: Adam Hinshelwood will be sidelined for three weeks after coming off injured against Yeovil last week, meaning Luke Oliver is expected to deputise at centre-back. Alex Revell returns to the scene of his two-goal haul in Swindon's 3-2 win earlier this season, while keeper Tom Heaton will be in the squad after joining on loan from Manchester United.
Brentford: Manager Andy Scott is expected to name the same side that won 4-0 against Gillingham last week, although midfielder Marcus Bean could return to the squad after a spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury.
