BIG MATCH PREVIEW: YEOVIL
Posted on: Sat 06 Feb 2010
Wanderers will be looking to make it back-to-back victories and avenge their 4-0 Boxing Day defeat when they host Yeovil Town on Saturday (k.o. 3pm).
Gary Waddock's men go into the game at Adams Park on the back of a magnificent 3-2 victory over high-flying Bristol Rovers, whereas the Glovers will be looking to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat to 7th placed Huddersfield Town.
The three points at the Memorial Stadium has undoubtedly given the players a massive boost ahead of what the Blues boss has dubbed as a "big game", but Waddock says the real challenge is to back up the win in Bristol with another positive result this weekend.
Speaking to wwfc.com, Waddock said: "We performed well at Bristol and picked up a deserved victory, but that's only one game and we have to do it consistently over a period of games. We go into Saturday's game with a confidence and a belief that we can win it.
"There's no doubting it's a big game but there are only three points at stake. We'll go into the game in the same manner as we always do, looking to win it."
Yeovil, managed by former Chairboys defender Terry Skiverton, currently sit 15th in the division with 31 points from 28 games and a goal difference of -5, whilst Wanderers occupy 23rd place with 23 points from 29 games, and an inferior goal difference of -22.
However, with the Glovers having only won once on their travels in the last year, Saturday could be the perfect time for the Blues to take on Skiverton's side.

Opposition view:
Yeovil Town boss Terry Skiverton, speaking to 'Quarters':
"We beat Wycombe 4-0 at our place on Boxing Day, but they were in the match for long periods and since then Gary has made some very astute signings.
"We're both down the wrong end of the table battling against much bigger clubs with bigger wage bills."
Team News:
Wycombe: Right-back Lewis Hunt has been passed fit after missing the win over Bristol Rovers with a calf injury. New signing Kevin McLeod also comes into contention, but Gareth Ainsworth misses the game with a calf problem.
Yeovil: Terry Skiverton will be without Jean-Paul Kalala after he picked up his 10th caution of the season in the 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town. Skiverton has a number of midfield options available including recalls for Andy Welsh, introduced as a substitute against Huddersfield, Kieran Murtagh, Nathan Smith or Scott Murray.
