LEWIS: WE'RE GETTING THERE
Blues right-back Lewis Hunt believes the club are poised to hit form at a crucial time after three impressive displays since the New Year have lifted the mood within the camp.
Wanderers head to Hunt's former club Southend United on Saturday looking to collect just their second away victory of the campaign, and the 27-year-old feels it could be the start of a turnaround in the club's fortunes:
"I think everybody agrees that we have been playing well, especially in the last three games, and I know it's just a matter of time before we start turning performances into points," he declared during an interview with Chairboys Player. "At the end of the season, that's what it all boils down to.
"We have been doing more things right than wrong, we enjoy coming into work every day and hopefully now you'll start seeing the results on a Saturday."
Hunt returns to Roots Hall along with former Shrimpers Kevin Betsy and Matt Harrold for the clash with Steve Tilson's men, but the defender will be treating the game the same as any other:
"Every game is a massive game and we know what we need to do. The standard in this league is very high so you need to play at your best to get anything, but we know if we play to the best of our ability, we are capable of beating teams.
"Everyone is looking forward to the game and we'll look to take the game to them and stamp our authority on the match."
