Blues boss Gary Waddock has reacted quickly to the loss of Tommy Doherty by signing fans favourite Kevin Betsy on a free transfer from Southend United, wwfc.com can reveal.
Betsy puts pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season, less than two weeks after his successful four-month loan spell at Adams Park came to an end.
The 31-year-old has been a big hit in both his stints with the Wanderers, firstly between 2005-2007 and secondly between September and January of the current campaign.
Betsy was a cult hero in his first spell as a Chairboy, making 88 appearances and helping the Blues on their way to a Carling Cup semi-final.
This season, the Woking born winger has made 22 appearances and scored one goal.
Talking to
wwfc.com, Betsy said: "I'm delighted to be back in familiar surroundings and at the club where I have been my happiest.
"I made no secret when I signed on loan earlier this season that I wanted to remain at the club for as long as I can. That was my intention and it is fulfilled until at least the end of the season."
Gary Waddock said: "I'm pleased he is back and that we've been able to sign him on a permanent basis."
