AKINDE BACK IN CONTENTION

Posted on: Mon 04 Jan 2010
Wanderers' on-loan striker John Akinde will be back in contention for the trip to Leeds United on Saturday (k.o. 3pm) after serving a three-match suspension.

The 20-year-old missed the fixtures with Yeovil, Brighton and Norwich after being shown a straight red card for violent conduct against Oldham in December, but returns to the squad for the clash at Elland Road.

Akinde's loan deal from Bristol City expires after the home match with Charlton Athletic on Saturday 16th January, while fellow loanee Kevin Betsy has returned to Southend after his deal came to an end today.

However, Blues boss Gary Waddock has today extended the loan of Reading midfielder Scott Davies until Saturday 16th January, making him available for the fixtures with Leeds and Charlton.

Buy tickets for the fixture with Leeds United by calling the Adams Park ticket office on 01494 441118.
