JOHN TO MISS THREE GAMES
Posted on: Wed 23 Dec 2009
Blues striker John Akinde will be suspended for three matches following his sending off for violent conduct against Oldham Athletic on Saturday, wwfc.com can confirm.
The on-loan Bristol City man had already given the Wanderers the lead in the first half before clashing with Latics skipper Sean Gregan, earning a straight red card from referee Danny McDermid.
Akinde will now be forced to sit out the trip to Yeovil Town on Boxing Day and the home fixtures against Brighton & Hove Albion (28th December) and Norwich City (2nd January).
The 20-year-old will then be available for the clash at Leeds United (9th January) and the visit of Charlton Athletic to Adams Park (16th January) before his loan deal expires, unless Blues boss Gary Waddock opts to extend his stay with the club.
Coming soon: Paul Dennis supplies the best photos from Saturday's 2-2 draw.
