BIG MATCH PREVIEW: BRENTFORD
Posted on: Tue 24 Nov 2009
Wanderers will be looking to make it two wins in four days tonight when they host Brentford at Adams Park (k.o. 7.45pm).
Gary Waddock's men go into the clash against last season's League Two champions on the back of a magnificent 2-0 victory at Millwall, while Andy Scott's side drew 1-1 with Walsall at Griffin Park on Saturday.
The victory at The Den lifted the Blues off the foot of the League One table and a win this evening could move the Chairboys within three points of safety.
Brentford have struggled on the road this season, with their only victory coming courtesy of a 3-1 opening day win at Carlisle, while the Wanderers have showed signs of improvement at Adams Park in recent outings.
The links between the two clubs are endless, with the likes of Matt Harrold, John Mousinho and former favourite Jason Cousins having enjoyed spells at both Griffin and Adams Park.
But possibly the biggest name to have played for both sides is that of giant defender Terry Evans. 'Big Tel' made over 450 appearances for both the Blues and the Bees and Evans will be amongst the Adams Park crowd this evening.
Speaking exclusively to 'Quarters', 'Big Tel' said: "I have so many happy memories from my time at both clubs, so I suppose a draw would be the ideal result tonight.
"Brentford will be favourites because Wycombe are struggling at the moment, but I remember from my own playing days that Wycombe always did well in this fixture."
