Blues boss Gary Waddock says Jon-Paul Pittman will be given as long as possible to prove his fitness for Tuesday's game with Brentford.

Pittman was stretchered off during the first half in the 2-0 win at Millwall on Saturday and is rated as doubtful for the clash against the Bees at Adams Park.

Speaking to wwfc.com, he said: "JP came off at the weekend, so we'll give him as long as we can. It's not as bad as we first feared. We've got one or two bumps and bruises but we'll be in tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon to have a look at it and prepare for the game.

"One thing is for sure though is that Leon Johnson is out."

The Wanderers lifted themselves off the foot of the League One table with the weekend win at The Den and Waddock has his sights set on another victory.

He said: "If we can back up what we did on Saturday it will be great for everybody."
