BLOOMS FOCUSSED ON BRIGHTON

Posted on: Thu 19 Nov 2009
Matt Bloomfield believes a game so soon after Saturday's 6-0 defeat to Huddersfield could prove to be a positive for the Blues.

The Chairboys go head-to-head with Brighton & Hove Albion tonight in their FA Cup First Round replay at the Withdean Stadium.

And 'Blooms' feels the clash with Gus Poyet's side will allow the Wanderers to "turn their focus" away from the weekend defeat at the Galpharm Stadium.

Chairboys Player Blooms' full interview

Speaking to Chairboys Player, he said: "A few years ago we went to Stockport and lost 6-0 and then we went on a bit of a run. We need to take a negative and turn it into a positive.

"We need to stick together and make sure Saturday is our lowest point and move forwards.

"I think it's good that we've got a midweek game, so we can turn our focus to Brighton. We need to make sure we improve in all areas and put Saturday to bed.

"However, Brighton won't be an easy game. It's their new manager's first game at home and they got a great result at Southampton on Sunday. But we've got to believe that we can go there and perform in the right way and hopefully that will lead to a victory."

Don't worry if you can't make it to the Withdean tonight as Chairboys Player will be providing live & exclusive commentary of the Wanderers' game with Brighton from 7.40pm. Click here to sign up.
