Wanderers go head-to-head with promotion hopefuls Huddersfield Town in front of the Sky cameras on Saturday (k.o. 12.05pm).
Lee Clark's men are unbeaten at home in all competitions this season, having won seven and drawn two of their opening nine fixtures, while the Blues are yet to pick up a victory on the road.
However, the Chairboys can take heart from their last away day performance when they came within a minute of collecting three points at Exeter in late October.
The early start at the Galpharm Stadium not only offers Gary Waddock's men the opportunity to claim the scalp of a high-flying Huddersfield side but also the chance to close the gap on those just above the drop zone.
The Terriers sit sixth in the table and will be looking to make it four it wins in four games, while the Wanderers, who sit bottom of League One, will be hoping the return of John Akinde on loan will be the difference in Yorkshire.
Managers' View:
Blues boss Gary Waddock, speaking to Chairboys Player.
"We're not going to stop the way we want to go forward because that's how you win games, but we need to strike a balance.
"We've got to make sure we're solid defensively and that means defending from the front. However, we won't take away our attacking style.
"We need to start seeing games through; being professional and not naive at times. We've got some experienced players and we should do better on the defensive side of things, but that will improve as we go along."
Huddersfield manager Lee Clark, speaking to the club's official website.
"The standards we want are constantly getting higher and with the team that are bottom of the table coming, everyone is getting over the top. Sometimes people automatically think the game is already won.
"What I have learned over the years is that complacency can come back and bite you. I have set the scene to the players that this weekend could be a potential banana skin, but I have seen enough this week in training and over the last few games to suggest that these players are hungry and we won't allow that to happen."
