Gary Waddock says his side have "nothing to lose" when they face League One high-flyers Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
The Terriers have won seven and drawn two of their opening nine fixtures at the Galpharm Stadium, but the Chairboys chief insists the Wanderers will be looking for nothing other than maximum points in Yorkshire.
Waddock's full six minute interview
Speaking to
Chairboys Player, he said: "We know we must defend better than we have been doing and when we do have possession we have to use it well, take care of it and get into a position to hurt them.
"It's a big ask. Everyone expects us to go up there and get nothing but we'll be going up there to perform. If our performance is right then it gives us a chance. We are after a result.
"I want to compete in the game, go head-to-head with them and see what we can do. I'm looking forward to it."
Both sides are renowned for their attacking prowess and Waddock believes both sets of fans will enjoy the 90 minutes at the Galpharm Stadium tomorrow.
He said: "They are an extremely good side; they've got a lot of quality and are very attack minded. We've got nothing to lose though and we can go up there nice and relaxed and play our style of football. It could be an end to end game."
