WADDOCK EYES HOME COMFORTS

Posted on: Sat 31 Oct 2009
Gary Waddock is hoping to lead the Blues to their second home victory of the season when Walsall visit Adams Park on Saturday.

Draws against Colchester United and Exeter City has lifted the mood around Adams Park, after consecutive defeats to Tranmere, Leyton Orient and Gillingham.

But despite expressing his pleasure at performances since taking charge, Waddock knows his Chairboys side must start turning draws into victories.

Speaking to wwfc.com, Waddock said: "We're looking for another good display. If the players take care of the performance the result will take care of itself.

"We've got to make sure we play well first and foremost and then that will give the fans something to cheer about.

"Home form is vitally important. It doesn't matter where you are in the table; teams always look to win their home games to give them a base to pick up points on the road.

"We've got to make sure we start picking up points and wins at Adams Park."
