Wanderers will be looking to close the gap on the teams just above the drop zone when Walsall visit Adams Park on Saturday.
Gary Waddock's men currently sit bottom of League One after 14 games, but draws against Colchester United and Exeter City has lifted the confidence within the Chairboys squad.
Chris Hutchings' Walsall arrive in Buckinghamshire on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Col U and their inconsistent away form could play into the hands of the Blues.
Two wins, one draw and four defeats on the road means the Saddlers are lingering in mid-table and a win for the Wanderers would see the nine point gap between the sides be reduced to six.
History suggests the clash at Adams Park is likely to be a tight affair, with the sides level pegging from their previous 15 meetings. Both teams have six victories to their name, while the remaining three fixtures have ended in draws.
So, Saturday presents not only the opportunity for either side to collect three valuable points but also to take the advantage in the head-to-head record between the pair.

Managers View:
Blues boss Gary Waddock, speaking to Chairboys Player.
"I'm expecting a tough game. They've made a decent start to the season, but we're in a positive frame of mind, at home, in front of our fans and we're looking to pick up three points."
Walsall boss Chris Hutchings, speaking to the club's official website.
"Gary has certainly got an initial reaction out of his players. He has made them difficult to break down, securing two draws so far.
"We know it will be tough, but hopefully we will get that slice of luck and put in a performance that will bring its reward."

Wycombe: Jon-Paul Pittman is available for selection after missing Saturday's draw at Exeter with a groin injury. Stuart Green returned to training on Thursday after a hamstring injury but Saturday's game will come too soon for the midfielder. Stuart Beavon is the only other absentee from Gary Waddock's squad.
Walsall: Chris Hutchings is hoping that Steve Jones will have recovered from a virus in time for the clash at Adams Park. Richard Taundry and Clayton McDonald are fit again after hamstring and groin injuries respectively, while former Wycombe man Sam Parkin will have a late fitness test on a back problem. Right-back Jamie Vincent could also return.
