Wanderers will be looking to build on their 1-1 draw with rivals Colchester United on Saturday when they travel to 20th placed Exeter.
The clash at St James' Park will see two of last season's League Two promoted sides go head-to-head in a battle that neither team can afford to lose.
Wycombe are still without a win on their travels this season and sit bottom of League One, but there is renewed hope around Adams Park following the Chairboys' impressive performance in Gary Waddock's opening game in charge against Col U last time out.
As for the Grecians, an inconsistent start to the campaign has left Paul Tisdale's side hovering just above the drop zone on 13 points and in need of a victory after heavy defeats to Huddersfield and Walsall respectively.
Only four positions and six points separate the two sides going into the clash in Devon and Blues defender Leon Johnson is confident the Wanderers can claim their first away victory of the season and close the gap on their weekend opponents.
He told Chairboys Player: "We can take a lot of heart from our performance against Colchester and hopefully we can take that into the game at Exeter and come away with the victory.
"We need to start picking up points and move away from the position we currently find ourselves in."

Opposition view: "I think we approach every home game hoping that we're the favourites, regardless of who the opponents are because that's the correct way to apply ourselves.
"We're just glad we're back at the Park (St James') with a home game after two fruitless long trips away from home
"Our priority is to make sure that our performance remains high and with that you hope that results come."
Exeter boss Paul Tisdale, speaking to BBC Radio Devon.

Exeter: Paul Tisdale will be without suspended right back Richard Duffy for the clash in Devon. With regular keeper Paul Jones (knee) sidelined, experienced keeper Andy Marriott and on loan Tottenham youngster Oscar Jannson will battle it out for the number one spot.
