Saturday's goal hero Jon-Paul Pittman has hailed Matt Bloomfield after the midfielder's superb defence-splitting pass led to the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with rivals Colchester United.

With just three minutes left on the clock, Bloomfield - making his first appearance since sustaining a horrific facial injury in August - launched an inch-perfect pass into the path of Pittman, who strode into the area and fired past keeper Ben Williams to earn a point for the Blues.
"That's Blooms for you - he does it every day in training and it's great to have him back with us after his accident," he told Chairboys Player. "He put the ball on a plate for me from sixty yards and I've already told him that I appreciate his endeavours!
"I'd missed a good chance just before then but I picked myself up and stuck the next one in - as a striker, that's all you can do. It's nice to have the fans' support as well, and after I missed that chance they were getting behind me which is really cool and I appreciate that," he added.
The goal was extra-special for the American-born forward as several members of his family were in attendance at Adams Park, and although they weren't able to watch their boy in action for the full ninety minutes, the second-half substitute was delighted to make an impact in front of his loved ones:
"I had some family in the crowd so I wanted it to be special," he said. "It's not the same when they're at home and you try and describe your goal to them, but we all experienced it together today which was nice.
"I was used today as an impact sub and I know I can nick a goal, so it doesn't worry me when I don't start because I still feel I can get out there and make an impact," he added.
Pittman feels that he and his team-mates can now carry the positives from the performance into next week's trip to Exeter City and hopefully record the Blues' first away win of the season:
"I think a few of us are gutted we didn't get all three points on Saturday, but this will definitely spur us on going into the next game."
