Ashley Chambers believes the point the Blues collected in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Swindon can kickstart the Wanderers' season.
The Leicester City loanee came off the bench to rescue Peter Taylor's men with an 89th minute equaliser at The County Ground.
And Chambers feels the manner of the weekend result could prove to be pivotal going into Tuesday night's clash with John Barnes' Tranmere Rovers at Adams Park.
The 19-year-old told
Chairboys Player: "I think the point can kickstart our season. We've been struggling in the past couple of weeks but we can take confidence from playing so well in the second half and scoring so late into Tuesday.
"Hopefully this result can kick us on to bigger and better things. It's nice to get a point and lift the spirits but now the aim has to be picking up three points against Tranmere."
Chambers' substitute appearance on Saturday was only his second for the Blues since his loan move from the Foxes but he hopes his goal and performance in Wiltshire has put him firmly in Peter Taylor's thoughts.
He said: "I was delighted to get the goal but more delighted to get the point really.
"It was nice to get off the bench and put in a performance to try and get in the manager's plans. I've come here, got myself up to match speed and now I want to play more football.
"You never know what the manager is thinking but hopefully I've given him a dilemma for Tuesday."
