TAYLOR: "THE SUPPORT IS INCREDIBLE"'
Blues boss Peter Taylor has moved to praise the Wanderers support ahead of this weekend's trip to Hartlepool, as the Chairboys barmy army prepare for a mammoth trek to Durham.
Wycombe fans are yet to see their side pick up a point on the road, but the former England manager told Chairboys Player that he has been pleased with the patience of the crowd this season.
"To be fair to the fans they are realistic, though I'm sure they want their team to win every week and I don't want that to change," he said.
"We're in a very tight league and we've had a tough start, so the last thing I want them to do is lose belief in the players they support. I want them to give every single one of them their backing. I'm just trying to make sure it's a happy camp and make sure that the supporters stick with the players - because we need their backing."
A higher league has drawn increased attendances from the Wanderers, with large contingents making their way to fixtures with Charlton, Norwich and Brighton.
It will be the braver souls who make the trip up North to Victoria Park this Saturday, but Taylor is hoping that the travelling fans will be suitably rewarded.
"The support this year has been incredible, during the first game of the season at Charlton there was loads of them and the support at Brighton was superb. The journey to Hartlepool will be a test for anybody but hopefully there will be a few there and hopefully they'll get rewarded."
Tickets for the clash are available only on the gate. For more details click here.
