Wycombe Wanderers is delighted to announce that Matty Phillips has signed a one-year extension to his current deal.
The young starlet put pen to paper on the contract on Tuesday afternoon, which will see him remain with the club until June 2011.
Talking exclusively to wwfc.com, Phillips said: "I'm very happy to get the contract sorted. I thought I had a decent year last season and I hope to kick on now.
"We are going to be playing some big clubs next season and I'm really looking forward to testing myself against the likes of Leeds, Charlton and so on.
"My aim is to claim a starting spot at the beginning of the new season and add some more goals to my game. I know there is a lot of competition but I'm relishing that."
Phillips is recognised as one of the hottest prospects in the Football League and despite only turning 18 in March; the Aylesbury born winger has made nearly 40 appearances in the Wanderers first team.
The youngster shone in an impressive 2009/10 season for the club and Phillips was rewarded for his performances with the League Two Apprentice of the Year award and the club's Young Player of the Year award in May.
