The draw for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy will be made on Saturday 15th August 2009, wwfc.com can reveal.
The Chairboys will discover their opponents live on Sky Sports, who will be conducting the draw as usual on their popular Saturday morning show 'Soccer AM'.
A new ruling for this season's competition states that no club can receive a first round bye two years in a row, which means the Chairboys will definitely take part in the opening stage of the competition after skipping straight to the second round last year.
Peter Taylor's men will certainly be hoping for happier memories of the trophy in the 2009/2010 campaign, after Shrewsbury Town inflicted the Blues' record defeat as a Football League club to dump them out of the competition last time out.
Luton Town are the current holders of the trophy, after lifting the cup in front of 56,000 spectators at Wembley last April.
