TAYLOR - I'M STAYING
Posted on: Tue 23 Jun 2009
Peter Taylor has pledged his future to Wycombe Wanderers Football Club amidst speculation that he is due to quit the club in light of the recent uncertainty surrounding the future ownership of the club.
Taylor confirmed to wwfc.com on Monday evening that he will be continuing his role as manager of the Blues after it was reported in the national and local press that he was considering his future, and the 56-year-old is now fully focused towards preparing his squad for the new campaign when they return to training at the beginning of July.
Taylor guided the Wanderers to their first promotion in fifteen years in his first season in charge of the club, equalling Neil Warnock's record of five promotions as a Football League manager, and has vowed to lead the Blues into League One football regardless of the off-the-field activities which have resulted in a shareholders vote to decide whether or not managing director Steve Hayes should gain full control of the club on July 6th.
