Twelve teams into our look at League One and we reach one of the few Northern based teams in the third tier.
Introducing...Oldham Athletic
Finances are certainly the hot topic around Adams Park at the moment, perhaps something familiar to fans of Oldham Athletic - who were forced to watch their side enter administration as recently as the 2003/2004 season.
However just as the Lactics appeared to be struggling British businessman Simon Blitz headed up a takeover of the club, attempting to guide the club to safety both on and off the field.
After a couple of years of struggle, including a brush with relegation in 2005, the former top-flight outfit began to set their sights on promotion.
That culminated in a playoff semi-final defeat to Blackpool in 2007, though last season ended in mid-table obscurity with a 10th place finish - 11 points behind the final playoff spot.
A slow end to the campaign resulted in the departure of manager John Sheridan, with old favourite Joe Royle taking the hot seat as an interim manager until the end of the season.
After turning down the offer of a full time deal Royle made way for ex-Darlington boss Dave Penney, who will be charged with the task of rocketing Athletic up to the Championship.
That will be a task made tougher by the fact top goalscorer Lee Hughes has left the club after failing to renew his contract.
